Hartworks Ship Art Printed T-Shirts
David and Donna Hart grew up hearing Navy stories from their extended families. The most vivid tales came from David’s father and brother. They served on WWII vintage destroyers sometimes called “Tin Cans” – the hulls were thin to meet speed requirements. Donna’s father was WWII Navy and served in the Philippines; her mother was one of the first WWII WAVES and served at Naval Base Norfolk.Recently, after 45 years in corporate advertising, David and Donna returned to their roots in fine arts and were awarded an art license from the US Navy. Now, the Harts illustrate the drama and power of these fast, maneuverable, multi-mission ships. More US Navy ship types are planned for the future.
